The Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education (BOSSE), Sikkim, is an open school board established to cater to the diverse academic and vocational needs of students up to the pre-degree level. It offers secondary, senior secondary, skill training, and vocational education through a flexible learning system.

BOSSE was founded under the Sikkim Legislative Assembly Act No. 14 of 2020, passed on September 21, 2020, to promote and expand open schooling at both the state and national levels.

Recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) for equivalence in higher education and employment, BOSSE qualifications are accepted by universities, colleges, and institutions across India and abroad.

Additionally, BOSSE is recognized by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, ensuring that its certificates hold equal value to those issued by other national and state education boards.
